The Scheme is structured to encourage public-private partnership and to work with other schemes. The public sector institutions that are partners to the ECSES Scheme carry the needed weight and authority to the process, while the private sector institutions use their experience to build capacity. The Regional Certification Body (RCB) has registered training and examination centres or institutions in each ECOWAS country to assist it in organising training and undertaking examinations. The RCB is registering and listing selected training and examination institutions or centres that meet the requirement of the ECSES scheme as authorised centres where candidates can participate in the training and examination.

Even though the RCB has a number of registered TI that offers training based on the JTA, inexperienced candidates that were trained by unregistered centres can register for the examination.

Partner Examination Institutions

The RCB selects well reputable institutions as examination centres to assist it in organising examinations in each ECOWAS member countries. The RCB make sure the credibility and impartiality of the ECSES Scheme are intact.  Candidates interested in acquiring the credentials of the RCB should locate an Examination Institution in their country, get registered and participate in the regional examination. In order to keep the reputation of the ECSES scheme complete, an EI is not allowed to undertake training vice versa.
